Talk to The Mesh is an AI companion to the novel The Mesh — a book co-written by a human, Richard St-Pierre, and an artificial intelligence. What you are talking to here is also an AI: a language model given the book's full text and its voice, answering as the Mesh.
What it can do: speak in the book's voice, answer questions grounded in the actual manuscript, and weave short original fragments from the book's motifs. What it can't do: it is not the author, it doesn't know the future, and like any language model it can occasionally phrase things imperfectly — it is instructed to say so rather than invent, and to draw only on the book's real text.
About "never read before": fragments are generated for you at the moment you ask — they are not drawn from a stored list. Everything you've been shown in this session is tracked, and the engine is prevented from showing you the same fragment twice. Your conversation lives only for this session: we don't store what you say, only anonymous traffic counts.
